Our Projects

The Cape May County Zoological Society's mission is to renew the Zoo. You can truly help shape the Zoo for our children and grandchildren. Your zoo needs the support of all who care about its future. Please demonstrate your pride and care with a gift to one of the projects below.

  • Renovation of the Lion enclosure to meet new AZA standards.
  • Our Big Cats/Snow Leopard Project- a new maternity den and habitat that will provide a safe, stimulating and natural environment for the breeding of these beautiful endangered cats.
  • Our Howler Monkey Family and other new world monkeys - exhibit will feature spacious outdoor recreation area for them to hang out and make a heck of a lot of noise!
  • In 2009 Rocky, our famous 13-year-old Amur Tiger, got a "home makeover" that included a new water feature and elevated natural landscaping that gives Rocky a better view of his world. 2013 we are beginning Phase 2-Viewing Station, of our Rocky "makeover".
  • Animal Health & Happiness Fund- funds raised to provide veterniary medical equipment, special nutritional programs and behavioral enrichment that provides physical and mental stimulation for the overall well-being and quality of life for our zoo residents.
  • Eastern Tiger Salamander Headstart Conservation Initiative-To revitalize these indigenous species and return them to their original habitats in throughout the region.
